Judging by the way that Jeff was so obviously enjoying the game  I very much doubt that anyone could have got him off the field before the final kick was kicked.

I think that Neil Fowkes may have had more that a little input to Jeff's transformation in scrummaging. His round the field attributes were already there. He is now one of the best all round performers. His enthusiasm is infectious.

Indeed it is. I think he and Fekitoa add a lot around the squad and have contributed greatly off the pitch as well as on it.

I am actually quite p*ssed off that JTA didn't get MoM. Rowlands just had his usual steady game (IMO). Immediately after the game ended, all the team seemed to be congratulating JTA and I assumed he had got it. A very popular player and really seems to be enjoying his rugby..

I would have given it to JTA, but thought Rowlands was a standout player.

I managed to watch the game last night. Sale have a massive pack and the pitch didn't really help in terms of the front rows getting their feet set.

Was it this time last year that JTA had a wake up call in the Challenge cup. He was either long-legged and falling flat on his face or being turned inside out in the scrum.

Aside from the scrum he looked unfit and running on fumes.

12 months later and he put in an 80 min shift (when was the last time a TH did the full 80.. not just for Wasps.. but any club) on a heavy old school pitch.

Not only that.. he didn't go backwards in the scrums.. he was a nuisance in the rucks and around the pitch.

His enthusiasm is genuine and infectious.

MOM for me.

Sale's pitch didn't look the best but trying to maintain it during winter is a thankless task. That being said.. I prefer their pitch to a fully plastic one

I think it’s used by 2 other clubs ,one rugby league, and their women’s team as well
