In terms of unavailable players, here is the latest and expected returns:

  • Robson (international) - next week
  • Odogwu (international) - next week
  • Umaga (self isolating) - next week
  • Porter (self isolating) - next week
  • Watson (achillies) - early April
  • Alo (hand) - early April
  • McIntyre (calf) - early April
  • Jaiani (international) - early April
  • Gaskell (calf) - mid April
  • Cruse (calf) - early May
  • Brookes (hand/wrist) - no clarity yet
  • J Willis (knee) - no clarity yet
  • Mills (foot) - originally due back in December then pushed back to February but no updates since. This is becoming a real concern.
  • Sopoaga (calf), De Jongh (hamstring) & Spink (foot) were all due back in the last week or two but it’s not clear whether their continued omission is due to performance/rotation or the fact they have yet to fully recover.

Not sure what happened to Cardall or if he’s injured. He seems to have dropped off the radar soon after signing a new contract and just as we needed him in recent weeks.

Obviously there's Jack as well who we won't be seeing any time soon

ZZ who is either injured or out of favour

Is Tom Willis injured at the moment too?

Thanks wasps - not sure how I missed J Willis (updated).

T Willis looked alright when he was subbed off an hour into the Bristol game and since nothing was mentioned during the week, I hope his omission yesterday was just to rest him & give Vailanu & the returning Barbeary some game time.

Zhvania’s continued omission is due to “pure selection reasons” according to Blackett:

Simonds is another one who hasn’t played in over 6 months.

Tom was one of three players Lee said was being rested this week so should be fine.

Simonds is currently with Nottingham, sent on loan without announcement it seems.

Thanks HDAWG. Yes strange the club doesn’t announce such moves particularly when it involves members of the senior squad. Similar to Sirker who was loaned out to Coventry Rugby last
month but the news came from the latter club not Wasps.

Although still in the Academy, Curran who has 1st team appearances, is another one who seems to have been loaned out under the radar (also to Nottingham). Thanks to Matt82 for the info.

Bizarrely the Academy guys (Nearchou, Pichardie & Pleasants) all had their loan moves officially announced by the club.

Nottingham is Neil Fowkes so makes sense and possibly arranged by him.

Excellent news on Brookes and a huge relief!

It was the one injury that worried me the most. He could be in contention for the Sale game.
