Oghre cited

Having said I thought CMK got it right, seems Oghre being cited.

Any ban and Cruse failing HIA could just leave us with Frost.

Unfortunate, but not unsurprising...I thought it could of been a red at the time, although I also think that a yellow is explainable as well and would not of been aggrieved if it was a Saints player that made that tackle and the same outcome was arrived at. Whatever the outcome from the citing I will have no complaints.

Two matches then? Seems likely. Just Cruse and Frost left. After that, Academy players?

Gut feel this was bound to happen. As others have mentioned, timing couldn’t be worse with us potentially down to one senior hooker available by week end. And just to rub salt in the wound we have Exeter and Saracens up next.

Having said that the glorious memory of 05/09/20 showed what we can do!

It is what it is. Maybe Gabby will cool down a little. His enthusiasm does sometimes get the better of his judgement.

Suggests we may be able to fight it. I suspect we'll look to doing so.

As long a second they don't ask Tom West again. I'm hoping Cruse will be OK.

Interesting. I did think at the time that TY's tackle on Harrison affected Gaby's tackle.

Do we think Cruse will pass his HIA in time? I don't think there is enough time to go through the protocols. To be named in the team on Friday, he has to have already passed the protocols, and he will not have had the required 6 days. So, Frost becomes #1 hooker, and who on the bench?

CMK stopped play to view the tackle; made his decision and Gaby was punished.
Now Gaby has been cited? That doesn’t seem like natural justice to me.

Eckersley mentioned in BB article, then there is Nearchou who regularly comes up in discussion as which side prop he is but can also play hooker, was Alfies back up in Wasps u18s apparently and has some senior experience, all be it at prop, with benetton and Ampthill (not 2 words you often find in 1 sentence)!

Citing officer can overturn the ref's decision. But equally the panel can then overturn his.

I hope we fight it. The fact the ref called it as yellow, and didn't obviously miss anything (albeit I'd still say we're lucky), means I think we can be in a good chance to win. If we lose, it's probably an extra week, but it's still only a single week that we'll likely be without Cruse anyway, so not much difference in needing a replacement.

Plead guilty to the high tackle, but disagree that it met red card.
