Good start from Quins.
Smith skins Farrell after a good scrum, and the Sarries 9 shows his poor tackling again [his defence was beaten twice by Toulon recently]. McCall has been telling us what aprivilege it is for Saracens to have such a great player so we know he is not up to scratch.

Whilst I couldn’t give the game my full attention as on a family catch up FaceTime but it seemed a good game.

Lot of niggle and I’m sure none of Sarries potential England players this summer will pick up citings for all the high shots. Very surprised Daly didn’t get more but have not heard the referee discussion on it yet.

Probably not good to say but I actually wanted Symonds to retire with a bang and actually get into a proper fight.

Want Saints to beat Tigers now but Leicester potentially might be able to outmuscle Sarries more in the final

Sarries probably the better side although they flirted with a couple of red cards that I’ve seen given. But what on earth is their screaming, yahooing and hollering about. It really is intensely annoying and makes them look like arses.

Shugs, at an interval today I saw Michael Holding on the cricket channel explaining why it was right for the WI bowler to be banned for over celebrating after getting Root's wicket.

I think that would be an appropriate punishment because it is very confrontational and it nearly led to a full on scrap today.

Conduct unbecoming.

Treat it similar to backchat to ref - reverse decision and march back 10 yards. Once would surely be enough.

Agreed. Clearly leads to confrontation and needs stamping out. The likes of Itoje and Earl are going to do themselves a mischief the way they go at it.

Jacob must be wondering how he got two reds this season after those decisions.

Agree with this, a few in the Blues Brumbies game too which would have been reds earlier in the season.

Tigers just got away with a clear red right on half time too. Umaga as you say will be spitting chips. Also most of those today were a good deal worse than Shields v Munster.

Did Ford ground the ball for the try?

Maybe it was more obvious on the field but I thought the same as you.

Saints yellow for absolutely nothing. A lot of the decisions today have been “Welford Rd” decisions.

Maybe controversial but I've enjoyed two cracking games of semi final rugby today.
