Latest injury update suggests Kyle will be getting plenty of game time. Daly was due a rest, but with Jimmy out its looking serious

If Launch is on top form , Itoje won't get back in the team!

Beyond pleased. I guess we'll see some of his best form in the 6N's now Itoje is injured.....

Yeah, I see Young travelling west, I guess once Rieder is fit, we'll have another "7" option and losing Hughes and Shields to England plus injuries prob means Carr will get a lot of game time and make those away play for their places.

Back three of Thompson, Rieder and Carr puts a smile on my face, let alone, Hughes, Shields and Jones!

Where do we see him playing mostly for Wasps? Size wise, he looks like a 6 and I wonder if his likely signing signals the real position with San Jones?

Getting TT back will be great.  Ash is one of our best players, but he is only one man.  A small injury and we could be in trouble.

indeed, i like being able for him to switch to 6

cruse should be December, tommy taylor back in training in January

so we just need to make sure we're still in Europe when a majority of the cavalry is back!

I think while it is great that Dai has selection problems in the backs, I'm more concerned about the forwards, but we will look a different side when Launch, Hughes, Thompson and others are back

Do we have a latest injury update? Do we know when Taylor or Cruse are going to return?

JdeJ is vg in defence, especially not being the largest player.

Do we think this back selection - with Daly on the wing is the current first choice?

Phew.....Some great defence, what have they been feeding Wade???

But too many mistakes, WLR is sometimes hard to like, but easy to love, but I wish he'd play a few more percentages

Well done Haskell for the volume of work and to the pack ball in hand.

I have just about calmed down now.....

My only observation is that is not unlike Nowell in reverse, when looking for work, but not unusual for any winger, May pops up all over the place - though it may in his case be "unplanned"  :)

I'd much prefer him at 13 for England with Watson at 15 and two wingers of real pace. Daly is quick, but I was struck in the recent Wasps game when chasing a ball, leading to a try, how Wade made Daly look relatively pedestrian, making up more than 5m in 40m and cruising past.

To be honest it looks more like defending like a centre who happens to be in the outside channel, and attacking like a wing for England, JJ uses the 13 channel, and whilst Daly does look for work, for me he plays like a wing for England and I think EJ is just talking some fancy stuff to justify a selection or to confuse his beloved press.

I'm not sure if there is a way to defend like a wing - looking at Wade, he is often positioned inside another player on defence (least he was last weekend) almost like in the 13 channel

There again, having played most of my career as a prop......I might be under/over thinking this

For Wasps, I am more than happy that Daly plays in the 13 channel, similar for de Jongh, now he has settled in, similar offers in that channel for me!

Interesting from EJ, but for me Daly is more a centre and would not get picked ahead of our current top two wingers, both of whom have been strangely over looked if EJ "does not think about a players limitations"

ED fits what EJ wants on the pitch, but there is a reason you want Daly at centre as he can most influence the game from there, its much harder from wing, back in the day, Lewsey was most effective away from wing (for me) but EJ looks to get his best players all on the pitch at the same time and that means wing for Daly - unless JJ gets injured or loses confidence/form. I am not sure what EJ would do as I think he'd keep Daly on the wing - even if he had Nowell fit. I suppose Slade would get 13?

I'd be more than happy with that set of backs, I would like to see Kyle and de Jongh outside Cips with that back three, but Cips will mean Daly will get quality ball to further exploit the back three

Excited already, I know too many Tigers fans, so we'd better win!

I don't know.  But we seemingly lost the territory game (when they kicked it deep, we'd kick it straight out, for them to have the lineout on halfway or closer to our line), or they ran at us and we were left defending multiple phases, sometimes pushing them back, sometimes not.

We don't seem to know if we want to kick it deep to try and force the set piece from halfway or closer, or kick competitively to try and force the mistake.  Instead we end up in the middle ground.

Yep - that's about right, no nuance or thought, hope Cips is ok for next week
