Launch not playing is Wasps's choice.  Dai apparently allowed him a week off with the family post WC.  I was hoping we'd see him on the bench.

Given that Baxter has pulled few punches in the wake of the Sarries shenanigans this week, he may be making a point, that due to the relative lack of depth in their squad from operating within the cap, some of us can ill afford the luxury of resting players.

Flament part of the 23 again. I doubt he can be promoted to the senior squad mid-season but there's been very little sign of Theo V.

To do with the cap at least in part I'd have thought.  Senior squad members' salaries all contribute to the cap.  If he's eligible to be registered as an academy player then makes sense to keep him there as that falls outside the cap, but can still play for the 1st XV.

Well there will be nowhere for them to hide at Kingsholm tomorrow afternoon!

Do Sale have a hybrid or grass pitch?

Think it's grass.  But an upgrade on Edgely Park!  Otherwise better get the pizza order in now! (Not Domino's though, doesn't Nigel Wray have a stake?)

Now that would be interesting. Just raising it as a possibility will put pressure on PRL not to let it lie and hold the cheats properly responsible.

And presumably if not playing in the English Premiership, Sarries players would become ineligible for England selection.  That would certainly get interesting.

I feared that PRL were just waiting until they found a big enough carpet to sweep this under, but finally they have addressed the cheating.

This will just be the start though.  I'd expect $arries to appeal (not sure on what grounds, but they are unlikely to just roll over and take it).  And then potential legal challenges from other clubs for revenue lost as a result.  And where does this leave Wray as a "fit and proper" club owner?

Ashley has a handful of full Springbok caps, so can never be EQP.

The second team on the trot without Wasps representation. A shame, but probably representative of where we are as a team. I'm not sure I can recall the last time a World Cup team featured ZERO Wasps (even on the bench) though...

Not sure it has ever happened before the current WC.  Always been well represented in squads, and many of those firmly in the match day squad.  Someone will know...

It is a duty in the rules to report anything that could be a loophole, in 2.3 (a) (i)

Perhaps Sarries read "report" as "exploit"?  Easily done.
