Looks like we have a decent squad of 23 for this one, to be fair our 2nd row isn't a area of strength either without Big Joe. I'm trying to talk myself into riding down after work as it's supposed to be spring like conditions tomorrow and the game isn't televised.

Offset the petrol and spend 40 quid to get NBC sports gold...catch every game for the rest of the season

Glad to see no Mohrihan (spelt wrong), Hurell and Smith with CP on the bench...could be the little extra we need.

Reported as considering an offer from Wasps?

WTF? - 35 year old back row / 2nd. - Why? Hope its a non story.

Still good enough to be nominated for European player of the year last season!

Doesn't make him needed at Wasps

I guess it was less about his age than the need.

WRC - might lose Sheilds and Young from the back row, Def launch from 2nd. With returnees and in situ players, we are covered.

Just seems an odd one.

Does it, they look to be putting together a stellar team of Intl's, are near-ish to London...and cash is king when you you don't know your Worcesters from your Gloucesters...

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Dai in CET - Centre, Wing and FB
« on: February 12, 2019, 02:46:22 PM »
In addition to wing and FB, we are light at 10 and 12. Being key positions, I think we need really depth in those two positions, maybe four choices each.

Its ok saying that but what quality are you going to have thats happy to be third or forth choice, your describing unicorns.

I wouldn't be too disappointed to see Miller and Umaga covering 15 next season.

I'd dread this setup. People seem to have got hung up on the rare decent performances from Miller in yesteryear, when given his chance in the recent past, he hasn't taken it.

I suppose I cannot comment too much on the topic, as I am still a relatively new fan, but in the past two seasons I have had a positive impression of Dai and will be more than happy to see him stay. To me, in my biased opinion, is that he comes across as one of the few "good guys" that are at the top of their clubs, compared to the likes of Steve Diamond.

You have as much right to an opinion as anyone else who calls themself a fan!

I just wont be as valued as mine  :o :-X

Timeframe is important in the discussion, I dont believe it's sanity to be having this discussion half way through a single season, especially one that has had so many unplanned influences.

There's reaction, over reaction and batshit crazy...I have read them all.

6,6.5,7...the number is immaterial.

If the question is who can pickup the jackling task if Youngs were to move, then the answer is Willis. He's exceptional at it.

The fact he has other skills is a bonus.

He would be damn near irreplaceable for us. Who else is that good and poachable?
The level of performance these past few years has been outstanding, and despite some thinking the whole team has underperformed this year, he really has not.

Willis is the ferret to replace Young..

I put this in the nonsense category but I wouldn't be sad if it happened.
