Importantly allows more rotation in the backrow for us - Brad Shields is an absolute hero but that guy could use a break more often.

Could almost completely rotate:
6 - Shields/Carr
7 - J Willis/Young
8 - T Willis/Shields/Carr

The benefit is that I think all of them apart from Tom Willis perhaps have played across the backrow so all are pretty interchangeable and then factor in Morris, Curran, Oghre and Barbeary and also Gaskell/Cardall being able to play there and we’re pretty well set.

Now for another lock

With the strength in depth of the back row and less depth in the centre's, maybe Barbeary will get his dream shot at some point!

If YOU were an oppo 12, would you want Barbeary in front of you? Rather like standing in front of a fast moving tank, armed only with a pea shooter.

Well actually yes, any Premiership Centre worth his salt would run rings around someone of Alfie's size. A side step and a burst of pace would leave him floundering.

Anyway back to topic it's great news in having Carr back, we missed him last season and I can't wait see the fella run out in black and gold next season.
