10 year deal?? Does it take that long to build a stadium?!?!
unicorn's are building it.

 :) :)

Reported as a guaranteed 7 years with 3 year option with a break clause . Someone on shedweb has said it will include details about signage and also a shop for CCFC.

Reports saying its "all but agreed" which could be SISU games again. Announce something is almost agreed then pull out at the last minute & blame Wasps/ACL.
I guess we'll fiond out soon enough but I will believe it only when Wasps announce it

You really hope that Wasps upper echelons know what the hell they are doing inviting them back into the stadium. Cuckoo comes to mind.

Not why we would ever consider moving forward without demanding they stop legal proceedings.
Wonder what the details are with regards to food outlets etc on match days.

Will wasps own the sports bar? Or is that being leased out?

Not sure how the sports bar works out given the various sources of funding put in

Guessing that wasps own it as main leaseholder on property but what the split of revenue is with caterers is ? Might even be a sub let

Ricoh Arena’s catering partner, Delaware North, is funding a significant portion of the seven-figure investment in the bar, alongside investment from the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP), which has been made via an allocation of funding as part of the Government’s Getting Building Fund, and from the Government’s Local Growth Fund and Growing Places Fund.

There is no way anyone can stop the (ongoing?) European legal investigation, as once it has been confirmed there is no way to stop it. Whether anything will come of whatever jiudgement s given is a different matter, as we are outside the EU jurisdiction now.

Wasps could have insisted that no further legal challenges about the ownership of the Ricoh are forthcoming as part of the deal.

As for the Sports Bar, running of it it could be sub-leased to DelNorth, but once lease is up, it reverts to Wasps (normal lease conditions), however it does indicate that the DelNorth arrangement must be long term, to make it worth them investing so much in it.

edit: Wife has just said she hopes that, as part of any agreement, CCFC will be reponsible for removal of any anti-Wasps graffiti that subsequently appears around the stadium. She couldn't believe some tht was in the ladies toilets on the concourse a couple of years ago.

Probably delayed because Sisu have tabled late demands. Not unheard of in our dealings with them.

Europe case was the main sticking point before and Roger is correct in that once filed ,couldn’t be withdrawn. Wasps wanted guarantee/ that they wouldn’t suffer from action, which SISU wouldn’t give.

Despite press reports , whether this is still a hurdle that they were hoping to resolve who knows?

The meeting last night I thought was concerning FA/EFL giving agreement to new arrangements for playing games and priority of game dates.Coventry only have one more season under current setup and EFL wanted matter resolved by then.

As Neils has said probably leaked by SISU to try and put pressure on Wasps , and blame us again if it fails.
