Massive rumours going around the Skyblue community that a deal for them to return to the Ricoh will be announced on Friday. I for one am not really fussed one way or another providing two things. 1st we don't give up any ownership to CCFC and 2nd it is financially profitable for us.

Agreed. I've not been a fan long enough to appreciate the gravity of the situation, but this is my mindset.

To be fair the owners may not be desirable but the fans just want to watch football in Coventry, the best chance they have of getting rid of the current owners is to be playing in Coventry and being successful. I know lots have a huge amount of ill feeling towards Wasps but looking at recent history can you really blame them? if a deal can be done that suits both club lets get it done.

One thing they won't welcome is the pitch state.

Have seen the ST Andrews pitch lately. all joking aside that will always be a concern for CCFC as the primary use for the pitch will be dictated by Wasps.

I have always thought that it is very important for Coventry City to play their home games in Coventry. If they manage to stay up this season, then maybe they can consolidate and move forward.

Considering current financial situation for both clubs does make sense, plus would help food franchises in stadium as well.

I think we can count on Wasps making sure it doesn’t come back to bite them.

Does anyone know or hazard an educated guess how much they are paying to play at St Andrews?

I've heard it's in the region of £500k a year. No idea if it's true or not.

Two if the stands at St Andrews have been found to have structural faults which require extensive repairs before they can be reopened once crowds return.

Might have three clubs at the Ricoh then?😉

I think it’s a good move. I think we can trust wasps to make sure any deal protects the club so that we aren’t at risk, given how much of a deal breaker it’s been to date.

So if they come back we have to assume it’s a safe deal for us.

As others have said above, their fans deserve to have their team playing in their own city. Although a minority of ill informed fans blame wasps, I do sympathise with the majority of the fan base who just want what’s best for their team. Let’s get them back playing at the Ricoh so everyone wins.
