Genuinely must-listen or must-watch stuff, depending on your choice of platform.

The plight of the Championship is just another reason the RFU is not fit for purpose in the 21st Century.

The entire organisation needs disbanding and a new body setting up. A professional standard one.

57 old farts? Have we come anywhere since then?

Perhaps Wasps need to "Level Up" and "Build Back Better". Or maybe we should be calling to "Make Wasps Great Again"... or maybe just "Take Back Control".

I think there are many great points in the article. I'm also extremely jealous of the author for his two week paid jolly around the South of France experiencing rugby culture. Tough gig, no?

* Aligning domestic fixtures to allow rugby players to watch top-flight rugby seems like a no-brainer. No valid reason why community level games have to clash with top flight fixtures.

* The food and beverage outsourcing at (certainly the CBSA) stadia leads to overpriced fayre, of generally poor quality. No easy solution, but oysters and chablis for 11Euro is appealing!

The weather helps, for sure. Making rugby a Summer game in the UK (a la RL) would be great. What would we watch in the Winter, though?

I see Jack Nowell has been charged by the RFU for comments deemed prejudicial to the interests of the Union and the game following his tweet on the Woodburn tackle.

I can't recall seeing it, but I've certainly see others like Joe Marler and Nick Auterac comment via twitter. Why Nowell?

Also, per Auterac's tweet: if it's acknowledged that we want more personalities in rugby, then why slap them with a disciplinary as soon as someone shows some.. personality?

I don't think Zach's form was helped by his stint at full back last season.

Interesting to see Bassett starting at FB for Quins last weekend - something I don?t think we ever tried.
Also Hartley again doing well in the centres for Sarries - I wonder if we would have seen him appear this season for us in the premiership or whether we would have kept him at Ampthill and for cup games again.

I think almost everyone in our backline bar Bertie played at 15 over the past couple of seasons! I can't remember him ever covering there, though.

The 2 yellows make a red rule, is nonsensical (IMO) as Tim Payne will testify. A player can cop an 'accumulative' yellow for the team and just be unlucky. A second yellow and he's off.

Agree this makes less sense these days than "back in the day". I think with the 10 mins in the bin, the card should count as "served" and reset. Pre-sin-bin (when did that come in? c.2000 I think) it made sense that you could accrue cumulative cards.
