Very pleased to see the players diving or grounding the ball with both hands for try’s.

Some international players should watch and learn

Dai will play shields, therefore I put him in the 2nd row. Hasn’t he played there plenty of times?

Pretty much only when brought off the bench as cover. EJ has I think done this several times. In general I don't particularly like players out of position and, AFAIK, Brad is a flanker or 8. I know you don't rate Dai but I would be surprised if he started Brad in the back row, assuming full fitness of Jack and YY. If either of those are carrying knocks then I can certainly see a place for Brad, but in the back row.

Absolutely agree if Willis is not 100% then Brad has to play. If he is 100% Willis has got to play 6, or am I over rating Willis?

For me I would like to see something like this

15 - Willie
14 - Marcus
13 - Elliot
12 - JdeJ.
11 - Josh
10 - Lima
  9 - Simmo
  8 - Hughes
  7 - YY
  6 - Jack W
  5 - Shields
  4 - Joe
  3 - Jake
  2 - TT
  1 - ZZ.

McIntyre, cruse, Stuart, Gaskell, Nemo/Ashley, Porter, Neal and Miller

That's pretty good. My main concern is starting Brad at 5 as he's primarily a back row.

I do agree but I can’t see Dai leaving shields out. I would be very unhappy if he played shields at 6 and left Willis out, which I can see Dai doing something stupid like that.

Dai will play shields, therefore I put him in the 2nd row. Hasn’t he played there plenty of times?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / ‘Use it’
« on: March 31, 2019, 01:27:14 PM »
Finally a ref gives a free kick after he calls ‘use it’ at the breakdown and the scrum half doesn’t.

I wish refs would Give out more free kicks. I think this is the first time I’ve seen a ref do it.

Enjoyable game La Rochelle v Bristol

Wow that’s an impressive score line. Sirker asking some serious questions, what will Dai do

Wilson is of course a very good player but we are surly happy with who we have in the back row.

We really need a quality lock, I hope that is a priority on our shopping list

It’s a really difficult call to make about young players jumping up to the senior squad.

Playing against better stronger players is hard to know how you get on until you do it. If it works then great if it doesn’t then supporters get on your back.

Also you got to do it week in week out, making too many mistakes is not acceptable. Saying that a lot of the senior players haven’t stepped up when needed, so why not try some exciting young players. Working well for the England Wendy ball team.

I would like Dai to try some players soon, before we lose them. Not sure Dai has the Niagaras to try it though

That is a pretty strong team, surely a victory for us. I just need a win

I will be surprised if we see Robson again this season.

Can’t wait to see Gopperth back, my only concern is we can’t expect a great deal from him. It’s going to take a few games to get match fit. Saying that I still think he will be a lot better then what we currently have.

The back row is going to be interesting, I personally would have Willis ahead of shields. I will be disappointed to see Willis on the bench, especially against Worcester

I'm not attempting to put any form of blame in the direction of any person or group of people, but let's be realistic about where we are. Regardless of players' form or motivation it has been impossible to build any substantial run of games in pretty much any position at all.

I think we've hopefully been realistic about player availability - I think its probably at least reasonable to ask about form and motivation, no?

Maybe, but it seems to me that because we've all accepted the injury situation and we're still losing people are starting to look for other reasons for the slump when the main reason hasn't actually gone away.

The fact is we are playing with half a squad.  Is it any surprise that those who are left, who are losing, and being publically slated everywhere for constantly losing, are not fully motivated?

I know for a fact that certain people at the club read this forum and DW on a regular basis, do you think what we write here doesn't affect the people reading it?

VV do you think it would effect you if you were a player?

What is true is it is a disappointing season

I just don’t think Dai prepares the team as well as I believe a top DOR should.

We have been poor in defence for years and Dai doesn’t know how to sort it.

Too many times we start a game flat or after halftime it’s too flat, why does this happen to often.

He has done well for 3 seasons but couldn’t get us over the line. I just don’t think he can get us to the next level

Yes I do believe it because it’s come from a current player plus I don’t rate Dai

Ross the extremely top player has said players don’t like dai’s management. A question was asked I answered it. Believe whatever you like I don’t care but something is clearly wrong. Also if you read my previous post I say we had 3 good seasons but we won nothing.

It’s my opinion I don’t care if you like it or not. I don’t like Dai and the longer we keep him the worst things will get imo

Ah, a current player - just one. In your previous post you said "a lot of the players don’t like Dai’s management". And you don't rate Dai. So that's actually just two of you then. And you've studiously ignored my point about the previous 4 seasons' results. As for the anonymous 'current player', it's OK to dislike your boss. Happens a lot. Presumably he's leaving then?
