Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Well done Josh

Bass was quality in the first half defensively and took his try well, didn’t get much of a look in in the second half.

TT didn’t see much of tbf.

Fekitoa looks v exciting and while thinking about how we might line up next year I was wondering if his capabilities at 12 as JdJ would be unlucky to not feature more regularly at 13. Fekitoa looks pretty decent with ball in hand and his passing looked pretty good so maybe having Lima and Fekitoa at 10/12 with JdJ outside them would be a pretty good set up for the next year or 2.

Do agree about Williams, far too good for championship, offers a little bit of everything you’d want at 12 (except kicking).
Agree about the centres. We've developed a habit in recent seasons of having better and more options at 13 than 12. I see both Fekitoa and De Jongh as 13's who can do 12. That's ok, but the key to it all once again becomes Gopperth staying fit.

Yes, congratulations Josh. Was only able to watch until half time. Josh did what he had to do and got the try. Thought Fekitoa looked quality making yards and making good decisions defensively. Looking forward to seeing him in Wasps colours.

Morning all. Like you Neils I've just been watching Highlanders versus Chiefs in Fiji. They were both certainly flinging it about. I imagine the Sarries v Chiefs game will be similar! Can't see anything other than a decent margin Sarries win.

I'd like to see Gopperth at 12 primarily. Simply because we look so much more coherent attack wise when he is there. For the last two seasons though I think we've had great options at 13 but not so much at 12 and I'm not sure we've addressed that. If Gopperth is injured for me we're short. Fekitoa is better at 13 but can do 12. Neal is a possibility and we still have Le Bourgeois. I just feel that whilst we do have cover we're a little bit light there.

Thought Watson was excellent under it towards the end of last season both in terms of taking them and returning them with interest. Miller is solid enough. It will be interesting to see how Minozzi gets on as he is fairly small.

Looks like an eminently sensible move to me. Really looking forward to our seven academy players getting a chance next year and this can only help.

Kibirige has always looked decent to me. We have been light in terms of wing options of late with Watson's return to form being a huge bonus and relief. Watson, Bassett, Sirker, Odogwu (assumed) and Kibirige (assumed) represents good options and you'd have to imagine they'll all be available all season.

This is really good news. Gaskell has been excellent in recent seasons and is a little underrated if anything. His versatility in terms of being able to play back row has helped in a couple of occasions to.
