Lets see if it is. There is a report that the EA lawyers wrote to PRL reminding them of the agreement to privacy. Maybe the "owners" are acting above the new CEO. Fun and games.

in email to Saracens STHs  new chairman? Golding appointed (9th jan)  says he hadn't been asked since taking over about his view re release of report. So when Sarries given ultimatum he didn't think to mention it was ok to go ahead and publish?

And the housing costs they are still contributing, or were last year, to a former player who retired 7 years ago.
Be interesting to find out if they did buy someone a farm in South Africa. The former S African partners were said to have withdrawn a few years ago because they had concerns about Saracens’ business practices.

Wasn't there also talk of a vineyard - maybe Schalk burger's one?

It's it actually gonna make much difference now?
I think the report will be an anti climax to some extent

Lord Dyson has already said that there's nothing in there significantly different to what's already been made public which I believe we why he was surprised it wasn't being released.

I think we're getting to a point where Saracens will be able to use the report for their defence by saying "look, nothing else to see - we'll be back in a year or so"

Seems the new Chair has now said that he wants the inquiry report published. But they are concerned that letting the PRL audit their accounts will be too long a task.
Where does Mark McCall fit in all this? Generally very quiet but he must have known something was going on. He made a comment a few days ago that the squad will have to be broken up. Farrell, who is presumably studying for his degree, has said that they will come back stronger. Not much sign of humility.

You'd assume the DOR would sit on the board, and so he knew what was going on.

They were trying to sell their stake a long time before Wray brought them out. A family friend was offered a stake the night before the 2014/15 season started, although the price quoted (70% stake in Saracens for £10,000,000, plus half the remaining debt, which he calculated was a further £25m, payable over 12 years) wouldn't have tempted many investors given Saracens was a business that was losing £6m a year at the time.

Those are the numbers that they've been caught on. Let's remember they've refused to open their books, which suggests to me that plenty may have been missed.

It looks highly suspicious and airbrushed.
