Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Preliminary hearing for JR2
« on: November 29, 2017, 10:48:53 AM »
From what we have seen to date I fully agree that any change in Wasps position will certainly be taken by SISU as a victory. They will then push and push to get more and more. Wasps management need to be very firm in their previous resolve. This court visit just seems to have muddied the waters considerably.

Reading through the drivel on SBT some think a deal to rent over a number of years (10 mentioned) has been agreed behind the scenes. I hope Wasps have not rolled over and given way.

The training shirt with the Wasp on it is definitely a beware of the sizing. We found to get a comfortable fit we needed 2 to three sizes up from the normal for UA gear. It is definitely a try on in the shop top.

Signed and announced on Wasps Website and Twitter. Nice one nut wonder who it is in place of.

So still no accounts and now a statement pulling out of the purpose built training centre. It is difficult not to put the two together - delay and cancellation. Can't help feeling we might be in a little bother - hope not.

I understood the 6 month accounts should be issued at the end of October as last year. Also note a fair amount have been changing hands with the price going up and down a bit. The longer it takes the more SBT will suggest we are going bust.

Nice of them to wish us failure!

I read it was Yorkshire Carnegie who were in trouble.

I wonder if he is off and that plays on his mind both in his attitude on the pitch and towards his team mates. However the photos yesterday of some of them at the butchers shows he still gets involved. Puzcling.

I think he is very much a confidence player and like the team up until this weekend was suffering badly with a complete lack of it. Dropping high kicks became a laughing matter especially in Belfast.  However on Sunday I saw him get upset/ angry at some of his team mates e.g. in front of us he picked up the ball from a Quins touch looking for a quick put in but nobody was looking despite him shouting. He had a right go at Simpson for just walking towards him.

The article is a good summary of where we are. Other teams have sussed us out and, at the moment, we cannot cope. Hopefully when our injury list reduces and with the Anglo Welsh fixtures we can sort it out. If we don't we are in for a long hard season.

Programmes and ambulances - piss ups in breweries come to mind. Wasps need to give themselves a shake.

With Raggs on this. I have little hope for today and unfortunately unless we start to click somewhere near our best of last season I can see a string of upsetting results for us Wasps fans. In Europe our opposition are shaking off early pre-season and first game hick-ups. I really hope I am wrong but something just seems a bit out of sync.

Let's see how many other teams players EJ can crock for over a year. Be nice for it not to be a Wasp this time.

Not mentioned in today's extensive injury list. Will we ever see him again on the pitch.

You have a small squad and therefore every injury is going to impact. We came into this season with a fair number of longish term injuries and since the start we have accumulated more. I note other teams are picking up short term loans from down under. All we need is Ashley and one of our locks to get crocked and we begin to get very threadbare. I also think without Hoops our backline has difficulty functioning with any efficiency. Yes it is because some are new but getting them linking properly is going to lose us some more games.
On your summary I find them strangely compelling reading. Question - what is the purpose of touch line runners apart from wearing out our grass. The Daly paled kick was in full view of the west side touch person but he said diddly squat.
