Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Gregg Wallace only wants, for his young son...

I watch him on Masterchef but had no idea he was a Wasps supporter.

I just read that his nephew (or wife’s cousin in one report) was in the Wasps RFC academy. Who was that?

Gromit?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Rumours England Call ups

Does the EPS still exist? I thought that was in place so that England had to nominate 40 - 50 players once every 6 months and the EPS was the limit as to what players England could have access to and this allowed the clubs to plan ahead.

EJ picking and choosing players on a week by week basis to have a couple of days with the wider squad doesn't seem equitable to the clubs based on the RFU/PRL agreement especially seeing as clubs are trying to manage training and playing bubbles and limited resources

I struggled to make out if the pitch was pure turf and grass or a hybrid.. if its the former then the groundsmen will have a thankless task trying to repair the pitch after each rugby rugby game for the footballers

I seem to recall, somewhere, a number around 7000 was mentioned for about two seasons ago, but it had since fallen a little.

Sadly, I have insufficient funds this year.

I didn't seem that way way we transferred your marble base for your wet room

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: OT - ad-free browsers - Brave?
« on: November 19, 2020, 12:32:11 AM »
If Brave becomes more popular then Ghostery might (if they haven't already) tweak their software.. that tracks and blocks tracking bots..

uBlock looks like it works with Brave..

Combined, Ghostery and uBlock on Firefox work perfectly. I'm not sure how well they  work on phones (iOS or Android), or the Mac OS.. iPads etc.

I'm still old school.. a xeon processor box running win 7 on a RAID

Ineos signed 5 year deal with m.Benz beginning of year to be principal partner

A silly season rumour bounced around that Ineos were buying Merc F1..
Merc F1 is split into 2 divisions.. Engine design and racing cars.

Racing cars are designed and built in Brackley.. engines are designed and built Brixworth. I think this was the old Ilmor factory..

Mercedes would like the rest of the world to believe its German engineering..  lob an AMG badge on it.. sell more cars on Monday. Most of the world doesn't realise it takes place in Northamptonshire

I can't get my head around why Ineos are now throwing a lot of money at various sports though? Pro Cycling. . America's Cup.. F1. Aren't they a pharma co ? I can't see the link?

Didn't a Russian prince play for England in the dim and distant past?

Ooh blimey. This makes slightly more sense. An RFU official was assigned to oversee the application of Covid rules who might have given the green light for some ""non-rugby" activities.

Just before lockdown my wife and I squeezed a pint in at her local..

Sat in a corner within a rowdy pub we noticed the mother-in-law at the bar .. a cantankerous character..

Before we'd got halfway through our Babysham.. 7 big burly blokes set up on my good lady's mother

The wife nudged me in the ribs and said "Aren't you going to help?". I replied

...

..

.

"nah.. 7 should be enough"

{I'm not sure if there's a copyright on jokes.. but if there is.. I hope Les Dawson's family doesn't mind me tweaking his joke a little bit}

"How does she smell?"

A large bear walks into a pub.. tired and looking for the elixir of life..

He slumps over the bar and wipes his brow.

The barman sensing an urgent need.. noticing the ever increasing grip on the bar...

"What will it be sir?"

The bear gathers and steadies himself on the bar with all his might..

In a gruff tone.. looking towards the optics

".. a gin!!".. hesitating.. coughing

.. deep breath ".. and tonic"

"Of course sir.. but what's with the long paws"
