Wasps Rugby Discussion / What Happened to Our Optimism After the Final?
« on: May 21, 2022, 08:23:39 PM »
Seriously, I remember such optimism even when we lost. What happened since then that lead to our underwhelming performances and resultant thoughts?
Are we still optimistic about the future but acknowledge it will take a while to get there?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Who are your starting centres next season?
« on: May 15, 2022, 09:05:34 PM »
I've seen discussions about centres we with, those that are leaving and those that are joining.
Going into next season, based on who we currently have, who would you start?
My understanding of who we have are:
12: Odendaal, Hartley, Mills, Simonds
13: Spink, Odogwu, Le Bourgeois
Might have got a couple in the incorrect position...
Curious to hear your thoughts.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / What do we do about fly half?
« on: March 27, 2022, 09:59:58 AM »
Self explanatory title, thought I'd ask what we should do.
It appears clear we aren't signing a 10 going into next season.
But during next season, what would you do?
Who would you sign? What kind of 10 would you sign? What would we then do with Atkinson and Umaga? Given Robson's drop off, would you also sign/promote a 9?

Fair play to Quins, what a game.
Honestly didn't think they'd do it. I have mixed feelings about them winning....
Good because refreshing change and all, they've played well last half of season and proven they can compete with the best.
But... Still really annoys me they managed it this year and we couldn't last year or in 2026/17. I know I know, it doesn't work like that. But can't deny my jealousy.
Overall great game though.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Is Ihaia West Wasps kind of player?
« on: April 10, 2021, 07:19:58 PM »
Just a question I thought I'd ask. West played at 10 for La Rochelle today and on the whole was pretty good. Not a great kicker, but passing was pretty crisp. He's also a utility back player. He's leaving la Rochelle and currently not signed with anyone, curious if he'd suit our problems at 12.... Purely thinking out loud about the kind of player we need at 12 for depth.
